John Eickemeyer, Supervisor, District 15
John is a 38-year resident of Eastchester who served on the Eastchester Board of Education for 11 years. John’s two terms as Board President and nine years as Board Finance chair included significant facilities expansion and enhanced educational programs for Eastchester’s children and provided him with valuable experience in government operations and finance.
A commercial litigation attorney, John has an extensive background in accounting, financial and insurance issues, about which he has been a frequent speaker and author. John is the co-founder, and for 30 years was the co-chair, of the American Law Institute’s continuing legal education program in Accountants Liability. John’s educational background includes four years at Fordham University, during which he earned a B.A. summa cum laude and a M.A. in political science. Thereafter, John earned a J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School.
Prior to his first election to the Board of Education in 1998, John served for eight years as Chair of the Eastchester Democratic Committee. John and Penny live in the Hickory Hill neighborhood, where they raised their two sons, both of whom graduated from the Eastchester public schools.
